Moldovan Fashion Tips for Young Ladies

Do:
  • Wear it short
  • Wear it tight
  • Wear it low-cut
  • Feel free to expose your midriff
  • Accessorize! (Bonus points for designer labels)
Don’t:
  • Worry about looking trashy – it’s not trashy when it’s a cultural norm!
  • Fear less-than-perfectly-maintained sidewalks. I don’t know how you do it, but I guess when your 4-inch heels look that good, a few potholes won’t be able to bring you down
  • Forget the colors, patterns, ruffles, shimmer, and sparkles! Go all out, girl.
Ok, maybe it’s not quite as extreme as I make it sound – there are plenty of women on the street who could easily fit in on any US sidewalk – but check out these samples snapped downtown mid-afternoon:

Yes, those may have been among the more extreme outfits on the street, and yes, I’ve been known to hooch it up even more than that personally on a number of occasions. (Vegas FOAM, anyone?) It just seems scandalous to me here because women go all out in contexts I wouldn’t. Just like I’m sure that when women from some cultures come to the US, they’re shocked by our public exposure of things they’d only show in their own homes. But because this is my blog, my (completely arbitrary) standard of propriety is espoused. The same standard, incidentally, that stared – 50% scandalized by the outfits, 50% envious of the bodies – at women’s get-ups last time I was in South Beach. So it's not just here. But it's also not just me – even Moldovans make fun of the different sense of style....
Moldovan friend: Is that woman Moldovan?
Carolyn: No, she’s American.
(a few hours pass)

Carolyn: That woman sure dresses up, doesn’t she? She looks so fancy.
Friend: She looks like a hooker. (Pauses) That’s why I thought she was Moldovan.

Slovenia Fashion

Slovenia fashion industry has grown by leaps and bounds in the recent past. Present day Slovenian fashion designers have played an important role in putting Slovenian fashion on the global fashion map. Works of Slovenian fashion designers have been showcased in various international fashion shows.

Fashion in Slovenia has embarked on a new journey since the dawning of the 1990s. Until then Slovenia fashion was not considered to be at par with the other European countries. With the entry of some new Slovenian fashion designers on the block, Slovenian fashion Industry, literally underwent a face lift. Almost overnight the fashion shops in Slovenia had a host of new fashion wares on offer.

In revolutionizing Slovenia fashion, besides the apparels, other fashion accessories have also played their roles. Jewelry, bags and shoes have also emerged in new forms, flaunting trendy styles and latest designs.

Fashion shows in Slovenia are also gradually gaining popularity and increasing in number. These shows provide an excellent platform where the Slovenian designers can interact with others in the same trade as well as designers from other countries. Exchange of ideas further enrich the fashion industry in Slovenia.

Some indispensable names, who have immensely contributed in helping the Slovenian fashion industry acquire a modern look are Almira and many more.

Art Gallery is the venue that has hosted many of Slovenia fashion shows.

Spain Fashion

It is true that some of the latest fashions on the high street are strictly for the very young and very thin. However, just because you aren’t 18 and a size 6 it doesn’t mean that you can’t keep in touch with the latest trends. My advice would be to mix classics with trendier pieces and to mix the latest accessories with your capsule wardrobe. For example a simple pair of well cut linen trousers can be brought up to date with a pair of pumps and a polka dot shirt. You can update your wardrobe instantly for the spring with some fresh new t-shirts and beads

Tunisia Fashion

AFTER the political turmoil that Tunisia has endured over the previous few months, the third annual Tunisian Fashion Week was an event that was far from the locals' minds. Despite the trouble, a few selected designers opted to showcase their collections in the name of revolution.

LATVIA FASHION

The Baltic states have more models per capita than almost anyplace else in the world, so it would seem natural that designers and fashion labels are also starting to set up shop in the countries. While Tallinn, Riga and Vilnius will never be on par with Paris, Milan or Tokyo, the fashion industry in the is starting to emerge as a serious money-making business. In this week's Industry Insider, The Baltic Times delves into the region's emerging fashion industry and takes a look at some major companies working with Baltic fashion.

RIGA - Ten years ago, the Baltic fashion business was nearly non-existent. During the collapse of the Soviet Union, such non-essential luxury industries were the first to crumble. Now, with a decade and a half of strong growth fueling the economy, fashion is starting to move from a hobby of the arts community to an actual business.

WOMEN'S CLOTHING AND FASHION IN ANCIENT EGYPT

It is easier to visualize their clothing once you understand the unique way Egyptians drew the human form. We will look at the material, the various styles they wore, their makeup and finish with the scented cone.Every artist must follow a particular set of conventions in order to transfer three dimensional reality to a two dimensional painting.  To reverse the process and see the reality that inspired a particular painting we must use the same conventions the artist used.
Many artists today, for example, want to show what something looks like to a person standing in a particular place. The artist uses relative size and shadow in order to show the required perspective.  The Ancient Egyptian was less interested in how something appeared to a particular viewer and more interested in what the object actually looked like. To that end he chose different view points for each part of the body.

The face, hip, legs and feet are usually shown in profile while both shoulders face the viewer. Paintings of women often show one breast in profile. It is clearly impossible for anyone to stand this way, but it was believed that this was the best method for solving the problems that arise in going from three dimensions to two.

Egypt fashion

Ancient Egypt fashion consisted of a variety of colors and was generally adorned with precious gems and jewels. While ancient Egyptian fashions were primarily constructed for the purpose of comfort, this apparently did not mean that ancient Egyptians felt they should sacrifice beauty for comfort.

Most ancient Egypt fashion, regardless of the gender or society level for which it was intended, was constructed for the purposes of keeping cool in the hot, dry desert.
Fabric was generally constructed of linen, made of the flax plant, which allowed the wearer to remain comfortable in the hot climate. Most ancient Egyptian fashion costumes usually included a kilt. The kilt could server a variety of purposes, including indicating the respected age of its wearer or social position.
The ancient Egyptian fashion for woman typically included a straight caftan or shift. This changed very little throughout the history of Egypt. The sleeves might either be short or long sleeved, although it was quite common for the caftan to simply be constructed with strap sleeves to best benefit the heat. In addition, the length of the skirt worn by women might vary depending on the point in history as well as the woman's social status.

Czech Fashion

Czech Fashion is outstanding as the fashion designers of Czech Republic have always created fashionable garments and accessories. Fashion in Czech Republic has always influenced the fashion trends of other countries. Czech Fashion is simply not restricted to clothes but they also include various fashion accessories along with exclusive range of footwear and hairstyles. Prague and Brno are the two famous fashion hubs of the Czech Republic and they house various international shops and boutiques.

the place where you can find all you need is . I wont yap about its history, but it is and idea from a very talented young man (so hot, not gay) who's enthusiasm made  stuff for  designers. Before him it was all there but not there. so he gave them a name, he came up with fashion festivals where they can present them selves, and actually can be seen at all. and big guys/ladies with lots of feathers (meaning money) buy their stuff and love them very much. there are really so many good designers, but not affordable to " and mortal" people like me.

Iceland's style cool as ice

REYKJAVIK, ICELAND–One would think personal style is hard to come by in a city that has a population of 200,000 and boasts one mall and a single shopping strip.
But if Scott Schuman, style shooter for thesartorialist.com fashion blog, were to walk down Laugavegur street in downtown Reykjavik, his digital camera would die of

fashion clothing

With the arrival of a new season, fashion is all over the world are on the lookout for the key trends for that specific season. This year significant fashion designers and fashion houses like Christian Dior, Prada and Valentino has come up with designs and silhouettes in clothes that are very unique from autumn/winter 2010. The focus this year is much more on vibrant colors, unstructured silhouettes and prints. Color blocking, painterly prints and lace edged dresses are all in fashion this year. In contrast to fall, which was dominated with tweeds and velvets and military colors like navy, beige and green; this season is all about romantic and vibrant colors. Silhouettes are looser and much more cost-free flowing with ample use of fabrics like linen, chiffon, organza and Georgette. Here we are going to discuss in detail about fashion trends 2011. Upcoming Fashion Trends 2011 Painterly Prints 1 of the latest spring fashion trends for 2011, will be the emergence of prints. In contrast to last season, prints are extremely a lot in vogue, while they are much softer and not so within your face. Watercolor prints and painterly prints in both bright and pastel colors had been observed in runways of significant of fashion designers and style houses. Both  Vuitton and  have excellent style of dresses and blouses in painterly prints. Animal prints are also one of the top fashion trends for spring 2011 plus the greatest method to wear animal prints is not from head to toe, but to make use of it as accents, in trims. Color Blocking Color blocking is also a enormous spring summer 2011 trend, and rich jewel tones like emerald, sapphire blue and eggplant are a few of the most beneficial hues for color blocking. Color blocking may be observed on dresses, tunics and accessories like scarfs and stoles. Color blocking patterns in blouses and tunics should really ideally be paired with neutral hues like beige and camel. The color blocking trend is quite hot this season as observed within the apparels in  Spring 2011, Jill Sander Spring 2011 and Gucci Spring 2011. To make this trend function for you select shades that are flattering to your skin color. This trend is also superb for camouflaging challenge areas like flabby arms, wide hips and thunder thighs. Lace Details An emerging trend for spring fashion 2011 was the use of lace, both head to toe and as trim. A full body lace dress is sophisticated and feminine, and an perfect dress to wear for the evening. Lace can be utilised from head to toe, but the silhouette is far more sleek and body hugging. Voluminous lace dresses are things of the past. In the event you need to use this trend inside your wardrobe but are unsure the way to wear lace, then layering a lace blouse having a solid hued shrug or camisole works pretty well. It is possible to also use lace in sleeves and hemlines of dresses and tunics. The Color Red An additional hot spring fashion trend 2011, will be the color red. Red hues like crimson, watermelon red and dark berry red are the hottest colors for spring. This season ditch the small black dress and go for the little red dress instead. Decide on a shade of red that flatters your skin tone and eye color, and get ready to turn some heads. If wearing red from head to toe sounds too bold to you, then pair a watermelon red top with tan colored trousers or brown colored A- line skirt. You'll be able to also incorporate this beautiful and bold hue in your accessories like red pumps, brick red belt or a watermelon red scarf. Modern day Jumpsuits Jumpsuits and have made a comeback this season as seen at Carlos  Fall 2011 and Yves Saint Laurent Spring 2011. Regardless of whether it's floral printed jumpsuits or leather jumpsuits as seen in Hermes 2011, jumpsuits are a have to have apparel for this season. You'll be able to decide on strapless  or halter neck jumpsuits in fabrics like linen, cotton, jersey, silk or sheer fabrics like chiffon and organza. These fabrics have a lot of body and movement, and gives a jumpsuit a even more contemporary look. These were some key fashion trends 2011. Other new fashion trends which are going to be hot this season are floral maxi dresses, nautical inspired dresses and tunics and ruffled tops and skirts. Now that you are aware of existing fashion trends, you can update your wardrobe to look your fashionable ideal.

Algeria fashion

Any fashion that is lucky enough to fall under the influence of three civilizations are certain to be an extraordinary blend of style and chic.
Algeria sits at the crossroads of three worlds, Arab, Mediterranean and African, and Algerian fashion has long been influenced by the fact that its unique location has been a place of historic meetings and exchange Not surprisingly, Algerian designers have succeeded in combining the culture traditions with the influence of the environment of the country. These influences have found their way into the fashion industry and have foreshadowed several changes in the choice of color, design and pattern.
Women's costume in particular, successfully combines the modesty required under the Islamic law, with the flamboyance, utility and elegance. There is a strong emphasis on intricate decoration and colors. The use of colorful fabrics for clothing stands out against the predominant surrounding earth tones and the Algerian woman has kept her love for color and brightly colored patterns. Reds, yellows, greens and blues as well as many other color combinations are combined and finely embroidered with gold and silver threads.
