Zimmerman opens Australian Fashion Week 2011

Givenchy model Ruby Jean Wilson opened the show in an ivory-coloured, sleeveless, calf-length dress panelled in linen and cotton lace, with squared peep-hole brocade.
The collection, Halcyon Days, "Is about the memory of an idyllic summer day", designer Nicky Zimmerman said after the show, which was held in a luxury-car showroom, where mechanics were working on Mustangs and Maseratis next door.
Sensual loungewear featured voluminous flowing pastel and cream skirts, contrasting with clean-cut silk and linen dresses trimmed in tan, white and aqua.
Green metal brocade fabric was exclusively created for capri stove-pipe pants and a short wrap around skirt.
The focus was on diamond-cut inserts, intricate lace and embroidered brocade and perforated square trim.
